Mortgage Trends 2010 – Jeff Otteau Report
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010Published in Jeff Otteau’s Market Watch: According to the Jeff Otteau Report – MarketNews March 2010, the average commitment rate for 30-year fixed rate mortgages remained under the 5% barrier throughout the month of March, after its increase towards the end of February. Interest rates had fallen in the beginning of the month in an effort to help maintain affordable home-buying conditions, and then began to slowly inch their way back up towards the end of the month in response to the rise in bond yields.
