Big houses in Rumson NJ are selling……I have noticed that houses in the Monmouth County area that are priced right are selling quickly, within about 30 to 45 days.  Basically, high end homes are taking the lead, especially in Rumson NJ.  Between November 1, 2009 and January 1, 2010 (two months) there were 9 homes that sold and closed in Rumson above one million dollars.  Rumson had a total of 70 homes that sold and closed in 2009 and about half were over one million dollars.

Rumson is a small town and has many old historic homes.  Residents enjoy the beautiful beaches located just over the Oceanic Bridge and also the short distance to the NYC commuter ferry to downtown Manhattan which is located in Highlands NJ.  There are many fine restaurants in Rumson which attract visitors from near and far any time during the year.  Rumson is a great place to raise a family and many young families have moved here recently.
